The Meaning-Easter

Easter 2012

Close ups

Oil on 5x7 canvas panel.

This is a painting of a crop from last year's Easter painting. I also reprinted the original commentary. It all fit together so well.

This is my contribution to The Easter Challenge at DPW posted by Carol Marine .

Carol said: With Easter right around the corner, this week's challenge is to paint it in any form you wish. Feel free to paint your own eggs/candy/bunnies/whatever moves you! As usual, have fun!

I wish you all a happy and blessed Easter. Please remember the true meaning. Keep love and hope alive in your hearts.....The best is yet to come.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Luke 23:34 NIV
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

Mark 16: 4 And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

  4. Is this from the piece that I own, Dean? (It is downstairs on my mantle; I am up on the computer.) It is gorgeous and I just love it!
