Quintet-Muscovy Ducks
Oil on 6x6 canvas panel.
This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. Helen was the gracious hostess. Thanks for the great reference photos.
I had fun playing with the colors. I like the look of the dark bodies creating a large shape across the canvas.

Great composition and color choices, Dean. Dare I say it's a "ducky" painting???
ReplyDeleteBeautifully painted, Dean. Love the background color and the light hitting these ducks.. Very nice!!!
ReplyDeleteDean, I think this is fabulous! One of my favorites yet of your animal paintings! Love that background color and the composition is awesome.
ReplyDeleteI like that orange and dark, warm and cool! Nicely done..I'll have to pop over to the WDE and have a look at the images. It's usually a huge surprise to me how you "enliven" the photo reference.
ReplyDeleteThey look lovely Dean, looks like they are taking a little stroll.
ReplyDeleteWhat a family... Nice painting.
