Oil on 7x5 hardboard. I first prepared the board with black gesso.
A few years back, I was led to paint plenty of wolves for different buyers...it felt nice to do yet another. This is a red wolf. The image was supplied by Jean for WDE at Wet Canvas.

  5. Such beautiful creatures wolves! And what a great painting Dean. I have always felt that this is one of those animals that have been much maligned by man and sadly, nearly hunted to the point of extinction. Thank you for painting him.
