Raven/Crow #4

Close ups

Oil on 7x5 hardboard.
The time just felt right for another crow. I placed some thick strokes on the black gessoed support. The background is a continuation of my previous crow/raven paintings.

  5. Lovely brushwork as usual, Dean. Mmmm, crows! Is this just a coincidence, or is everybody leaning towards Van Gogh this year?

  6. We have so many crows here on the fields this winter, always digging for corn. It´s beautiful to watch them, big black shadows on the white snowy ground...
But your crow with the orange-brown background is impressing, too.
