Acrylic on 8x10 hardboard.
This little bundle of energy belongs to my friend and neighbor, Jack. Or should I say that he and his family belong to Max? They've had him only a few months.
Jack lives right across the fence from me and I couldn't ask for a better friend. This painting is my meager gift to him for all the help he has given me on maintaining my property.
I had done a painting for him as a Christmas gift to his wife in Dec. '08. Here it is for comparison. I made the new painting in the same media and size, with compatible colors so the two pieces would go well together on the wall.

Très jolie et belle attention qui devrait toucher vos voisins. Ce charmant shitzu peut être fier d'avoir été croqué. Vous avez su lui rendre cette frimousse adorable qu'il doit posséder. Bravo.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great piece and I love how you made sure it went well with the other painting (size and color). Max will be loved and you are a loving neighbor to do this for the help they give you. That is what it is all about. Did I mention Love a lot.......ok one more time
ReplyDeleteLove never fails
Great grays. Jack and Max are lucky to have you as a neighbor!
ReplyDeleteHow nice of you to paint this unusual composition, Dean! By placing the doggie like that, it faces the spectator and communicates directly with them. Impossibly cute!
ReplyDeleteMy dad has a shih tsu and I know he spoils her more than he ever spoiled me! You captured that endearing 'baby' face perfectly.
