Memorial Day 2012-Daddy's Home

Memorial Day
Remember them always.........

ETERNAL
REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON
THEM.
Oil on 5x7 hardboard.

This image is a painting I posted on Memorial Day 2009.

Please take some time today to quietly thank God for the multitude of servicemen and women who gave their all for this nation we are so blessed to be living in.

When you are out and about and you see the military , don't be embarrassed to thank them personally for all they do.

Remember always to praise and pray. Praise our finest young citizens in the service...And pray for peace.

Psalm 16:8 I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

  1. Quel magnifique hommage que cette publication et la merveilleuse peinture qui l'illustre...
Je suis très émue par les mots... si nous pouvions tous penser la même chose... Si tous les gens du monde pouvaient se donner la main...
    Gros bisous

  3. Hi there Dean!... I remember this piece and admired both its artistic quality and its powerful message.

The blessings of Freedom and Choice are gifts forward from those young service men and women who have served... and often have made the ultimate sacrifice on our behalf!

Thanks for sharing this image and your thoughts on Memorial day!

Happy Memorial Day to all U.S. friends!

    Good Painting!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

  4. How special it is for me to find and read this tribute to our service men and women. Although not born here I am a proud citizen with an ex Ranger son and a Air Force son-in-law. Thank you and may God Bless America.

  6. This is truly stunning, Dean. I thank you for always remembering our service men and women and in such a beautiful and poignant way. This one is so sad, and unfortunately so true. What a wonderful mom to take her child to remember the gift his/her dad gave.

  8. I think your Memorial Day paintings have deep feelings; they are full of emotion as they should be on this somber, commemorative weekend. I was very pleased that a national moment of silence will occur tomorrow at 3:00 EST. it's about time we all stood still for those who have given their lives for our country.
