Pears With Side Light

Oil on 5x7 gessoed hardboard.
Thought I would try something with more subdued color today.
Had fun exploring impasto paint, reflected highlights, and reflections.

  12. Dean, it is not just the design which is riveting here it is the way you have handled the paint in terms of reflecting the light on the fruit. It proves what you say on Don Gray's blog recently about realist/abstract painting.
