This painting is a first for me. This is a painting of a close-up of a previous painting...confusing...eh? Often when photographing my paintings, I'll do a close-up detail in order to show the strokes/texture. Many times I'll see the close-up as more captivating than the original! The Cat posted Fri. Oct. 6 was such a case. Plus I really liked the lighting effect and had never been able to reproduce it again. This time I came really close to succeeding and I'm pretty pleased with the resulting painting.
Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel.
