

Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel.Here's our friend, the butterfly, all done and having a sip of necter. The various greens of the background were scumbled in though a few selected lighter areas are thicker. Small bits of the toned canvas flicker through, helping to harmonize the painting. Parts of the butterfly and flower were done with a heavily loaded brush using a single stroke. Once I lay down a thick stroke, I
