Splash-Figurative

Close ups

Acrylic on 7x5 gessoed canvas panel.

This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. Gail was the great hostess who supplied all the reference photos. Thanks, Gail !

The joy of childhood seemed a great subject...so I went with the little splasher.

I wrangled myself clear out of my comfort zone, and decided to experiment with ink and acrylics. I drew and painted over a rough application of gesso. I used Uni Pin and thinned acrylic.
Nothing went according to plan...mainly because I had no plan...
