Different Destinations-Cityscape
Oil on 7x5 canvas panel.
This is my contribution to The Street View Challenge at DPW posted by the one and only Carol Marine.
Carol snapped this photo on a recent trip to San Francisco. Our challenge was to paint our version of it or use our own photo.
I have always felt somewhat intimidated by cityscapes with all the straight lines and details. On the other hand, the photo opened a great deal of opportunity to crop, change, and interpret. And that's always a lot of fun! So thanks, once more, Carol for a great challenge!

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Dean!... You surely have captured the very essence of the word "city"... a place where different lives are lead... in anonymity... seeking different destinations!
