Windows-Rousillon, France

Oil on 7x5 canvas panel.

My submission for WDE at Wet Canvas this week. The reference photo is a scene from Rousillon, France and was supplied by Joan.

I used the palette knife quite a bit on this one. I really liked using it for doing basically straight edges quickly. Very handy for architecture.

  2. The colors are perfect. I can almost feel the heat of the sun on the back of my head as I look up at that window. Nice work with the palette knife, also. I haven't used mine in a few paintings. You've just inspired me to get back at it...

    J'ai vécu à Port-Grimaud durant de longues années et lorsque je retournais dans la région stéphanoise je m'arrangeais pour faire un petit détour par le Roussillon.
