Oil on 5x7 hardboard.
This is my contribution to James Parker's Windows To The Words Challenge. This month the challenge is flowers. He has some great reference photos from which to choose. This one is flowering almonds...they really reminded me of cherry blossoms.
The flower challenge runs the whole month of April....Come on...Join in!!
I talked to James on the phone today! It was great to hear his Texas drawl...coulda been Southern drawl...bout the same to me! He informed me, much to my shock, that my bluebird painting had been selected by his panel of judges as a winner and the prize is a subscription to Birds and Blooms magazine. Wow! I am really honored. There were many great paintings in that challenge! Thank you, James and panel!

ReplyDeleteA very nice painting of flowers and the choice of the almonds is for me something because i've lived some years in the South of France near Saint-Tropez and when the spring arrived it was with these flowers.
