Oil on 5x7 hardboard.
Saints win! Super Bowl XLIV was full of highlights! But the one that stands out in my mind, by far, is when Drew Brees held his barely one year old son, Baylen, amid the hullabaloo of the commentators and roaring crowd. There was wonder in little Baylen's eyes. Drew's eyes showered wonderment and love upon his boy. It just doesn't get any better than that, folks!

you are so right Dean and your piece translates that love and wonder. Wow what a wonderful painting wish I knew Drew to let him know he could purchase such a magic moment.

ReplyDeleteYou are masterful in capturing emotion Dean. I think an artist needs to be able to be very empathetic and skilled with his art to be able to do this.

My favorite moment of the Superbowl was this moment of love and tenderness between the Saints' quarterback Drew Brees and his son...you have captured it perfectly!
ReplyDeleteYou're so right, Dean...one of those penultimate moments. Wonderful that you've memorialized it in your beautiful way. (go Saints!)
