Acrylic on 7x5 hardboard.I first applied Super Heavy Gesso...it gave a great textured surface to work upon.
My title, "The Forever Kind", of course refers to love. The folks in the painting look as though they've seen a good number of Valentine's Days together...and will share the remaining ones for the rest of their days.

I was doing some last-minute Valentine's Day shopping yesterday when I happened to look up and see an elderly couple holding hands, standing close together and being so tender with each other as they decided what they were going to get. It was so touching, and just made my Valentine's Day! This painting does the same thing - it's the love that counts!!!
