Thailand Bay

Acrylic on 5x7 gessoed hardboard.
This is a scene from Railay Bay, southern Thailand Andaman sea, Krabi province.
The photo was supplied by Eye for the WDE at Wet Canvas.
A bit of a strange one from me. A landscape and acrylic to boot. But it was fun. As per usual, I eliminated unnecessary detail, pushed the color and toyed with selective, dramatic lighting.

  11. Thanks, Saundra. I appreciate your words of encouragement. I need to simply spend more time at acrylics in order to get back into them again...they used to be my main medium.
But the, I need to spend more time painting with oils...Lol!

  13. Yes, serene. That name seems to fit...and very skillful. And...it's sad that our hearing is so often dulled by the clamor o the world. P.S...got a surprise coming or ya in a few days.

  15. Hello! Serene, and solidly painted. You've mastered the knack of capturing the important parts of a scene beautifully. Tricky to do in landscape painting.
