Birches In Acrylic

Close ups

Acrylic on 5x7 canvas panel.

This is my contribution to the The Birch Tree Challenge at DPW presented by Christine Striemer.

It's been so long, I had nearly forgotten how much fun it is to paint in acrylic!
A lot of wet into wet color blending....then a few thick impasto bits for punctuation!
Thanks for the challenge, Christine. :)

  1. I guess I should comment on the challenge site, but do want to say how much I love the beautiful colors you have used in this painting.
You have interpreted the photo with great feeling.

  2. Good evening Dean!... A magnificent birch soliloquy... front and centre stage!

This small painting speaks too of your words of your scriptural passage chosen today.

Like these birches God stands pure... radiant and tall in Truth and Hope... despite of the world of darknesses!

Happy Thanksgiving and blessings to you from Canada!

    Good Painting!
    Warmest rgards,
    Bruce

This painting is gorgeous! The warmth of the leaves, and the darks accent the birches so beautifully!
