Acrylic on 5x7 canvas panel.
This is my contribution to the The Birch Tree Challenge at DPW presented by Christine Striemer.
It's been so long, I had nearly forgotten how much fun it is to paint in acrylic!
A lot of wet into wet color blending....then a few thick impasto bits for punctuation!
Thanks for the challenge, Christine. :)

1 John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.
I guess I should comment on the challenge site, but do want to say how much I love the beautiful colors you have used in this painting.
ReplyDeleteYou have interpreted the photo with great feeling.
Good evening Dean!... A magnificent birch soliloquy... front and centre stage!
ReplyDeleteThis small painting speaks too of your words of your scriptural passage chosen today.
Like these birches God stands pure... radiant and tall in Truth and Hope... despite of the world of darknesses!
Happy Thanksgiving and blessings to you from Canada!
Good Painting!
Warmest rgards,
Bruce

ReplyDeleteThis painting is gorgeous! The warmth of the leaves, and the darks accent the birches so beautifully!
Wow, so beautiful, the light is perfect!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great acrylic painting and has a beautiful light to it Dean, I know it is not as easy as it looks working with acrylics. Congratulations!
