The Thinker-Cat
Oil on 6X6 canvas panel.
This is my contribution to this week's WDE Wet Canvas. Ros was the great hostess. She supplied plenty of terrific reference photos. This is her Scottish Fold cat. Their ears fold over toward the front...thus the name. It just looks as if he's contemplating all the questions of life. Love the Buddha pose.

ReplyDeleteHi there Dean!... One can always learn great lessons about living ones own life... through observing animals as they conduct theirs!
ReplyDeleteTaking time to contemplate... to commune with the inner Self is both a gift and a blessing!
You have very succinctly captured one such feline moment of meditation! Lovely texture and strong contrasting use of colour! A gem!
Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
Dean, the painting is wonderful! You have captured the most un-cat-like personality of the Scottish Fold so perfectly!!
