Good 'N' Gooey-Jelly Donut
Acrylic on 6X6 canvas panel.
This is my contribution to The Donut Challenge at DPW posted by Kelley MacDonald.
A rather simple challenge was issued: "Paint your bad donut love!"
My favorite fruit..Lol! The raspberry filled donut!
I painted this using Golden Open Acrylics. It's really one of the first few times I've ever used them. I'm used to the fast drying kind. It's strange, but to me this felt like a combination of similarities of oil and standard acrylic yet different. The creamy texture of the paint and accelerated drying time were both satisfying and disturbing at once. It will just take some getting used to.

John 12:35 Then Jesus told them, “You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light, before darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in the dark does not know where they are going.

Yummy painting! The texture is perfect...the light hitting the donut and the fruit inside looks wonderful! DARN, IT LOOKS GOOD!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust perfect Dean! I want to eat this, lol. The powdered sugar topping is just right.
ReplyDeleteJelly donuts are my favorite! This painting makes me want one!
Gros bisous
Especially yummy as I have begun dieting. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteOoooh, this is a good one! Yes, raspberry filling is one of my favorites, too! I like my acrylics, too!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Dean!... Enjoyed having my coffee... and jelly donut with you this morning!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed it almost as much as the real ones that Deb, the lads and I enjoyed yesterday from the local Elmvale Bakery!
Delisiosso Dean!
Good Painting and Happy Spring!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
