Innocence-Taiwanese Child

Close ups

Oil on 7x5 canvas panel.

This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. Dewi was the great host. Thanks for the terrific tour of Taiwan via reference photos, Dewi.

The wide eyed innocent expression of this Taiwanese child reached out and touched me.
I enjoyed using some of the unusual (for me) colors...violet-yellow-orange.
Thanks for looking!

Update 1-22-12

First, let me say, I really appreciate all your comments! It lets me know someone is "out there". It gives a purpose to blogging for me.

I suspect there has been an email snafu. I had comment moderation on and all my emails have stopped. I took moderation off about an hr. ago and a comment came through. Sorry for all the confusion or if I may have missed your comment sent before 10 am today. Hope it all straightens out....Bummer.
