Oil on 7x5 canvas panel.This is my contribution to this week's The Color of the Year Challenge at DPW posted by Kathy Weber.
Here's a shortened version of the instructions: The Pantone Company has selected "Tangerine Tango" as THE color for 2012. So, try to do a painting based around this color.
I found yellow ochre plus cad red light was a close match to the "Tangerine Tango" color.
I had fun laying the paint on extra thick with both painting knife and brush. Hope you like it!
