NEW PAINTING Winged
On this venture of mine I plan to do a number of things. To post paintings which are for sale...to post a daily painting...and show some works in progress( demos). The art will be in Oils with an Acrylic sneaking in now and then.
*sigh* you are my favorite critter artist of all time! I looked and studied the enlargements and am now willing myself to paint better. You make it look so easy and I KNOW what you've done is not.
ReplyDeleteThis - painting - is - awesome! Love the brushwork!
ReplyDeleteLove this painting, really great job on it.
ReplyDeleteThe idea of putting them facing each other itself has brought in a lot of life! Obvious that they have a great conversation going there! Not to forget the lovely work done on their feathers!A cute painting!
ReplyDeleteThose feathers are so alive, I am sure I saw them move! Lovely painting and I am very fond of your backgrounds, Dean!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wow, Dean! These two are fabulous and I am awed by how beautifully you captured those ruffled feathers. I've had a sun conure and the feathers often looked just like this.
ReplyDeleteGreat light!
ReplyDeleteThats a good word to learn
ReplyDeleteOh man this has such wonderful texture, brushwork and color. It has it all. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThose are the featheriest feathers I've seen! Fantastic Dean - you are incredible with birds and animals.
ReplyDeleteThis is Beautiful! I love the orange background against the green birds.
ReplyDeletehi dean, this painting is nice. this parrots are very realistic. all your paintings of wild life or annimals are outstanding.can feel and see your love for this subject.
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous, Dean! The colors are so rich and their intensity underscores the underlying 'story', which was quite entertaining. Thanks for the smile.

Fay...As a kid, I think I actually developed a fondness for the taste of a good bar of soap...Lol!
Wow, Thanks, Dori!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Liz. When I started the painting, I thought maybe it was a mistake to tackle it because of the feathers.
As I went along, though, they became easier to solve and it became a lot more fun!
Thank you, Brad. The background color was a last minute decision. Thanks for mentioning you like it!
Yes, Ben. I do have a love of animals. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Don! Thanks for popping by! Glad yo got a chuckle, my friend!
