Sheep- If At First You Don't Succeed

First Version-Friday

Oil on 7x5 hardboard.
On Friday afternoon I was ready to post this on the WDE at Wet Canvas. But I was running late, so decided to post it today (Sat).

But all evening long on Friday, I was nagged by the feeling that the painting had fallen short of what I had originally intended.
So this morning, throwing caution to the winds, I attacked it by adding a lot of stronger colors.
I like it better now. Glad I had to wait til today to post it.

Luke 11: 2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth.3Give us day by day our daily bread.4And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil.

  3. Oh wow! I am seeing knitting needles and a need to sleep in this one, Dean (as in counting sheep). How fabulous! Somehow you've captured that innate gentleness that we ascribe to sheep. Beautiful.

  5. Votre mouton donne envie de le caresser tant sa laine est merveilleusement bien reproduite.
Les tonalités de couleurs employées pour le fond sont judicieuses.
