Father And Son

Close ups

Acrylic on 7x5 hardboard.

This is a Christmas present to my Grandson, Joseph. It is meant to symbolically represent him and his son, Colton.

Colton is nine months old, and so is not the age of the boy in the painting...Also, Joseph is not a roping cowboy, but he likes all things Western. Like I said...symbolic.
The real heart of this piece illustrates the passing down from father/mother to son/daughter and the pure love that is involved in the relationship.

Merry Christmas To All!
Love the scripture below.

Jesus was calling God his own Father.
John 5:19 Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

  1. Je suppose que vous avez fait des heureux avec cette peinture remplie d'amour... Ils peuvent être fiers de vous et de votre talent.
    Encore joyeux noël, bisous.

  2. This is a wonderful painting that I know will be cherished always. The words that go with it are beautiful, as well. Merry Christmas, Dean!

  3. Wonderfully rendered Dean. The symbolism truly tells of the father-son relationship. I love it.

  4. A beautiful painting and a wonderful sentiment and story to go with it Dean.
