Oil on 5x7 hardboard.This is my submission to Gary Keimig's Wilderness Art Challenge. Gary is a mighty talented artist and photographer who resides in the perfect location...in the Rocky Mountain beauty of Wyoming! He snapped this magnificent bull bison at Hot Springs State Park. What a lucky man!
A few years back, due to some buyers, I fell into the niche of buffalo/bison art...so I'm fairly familiar with them. This was especially fun to paint!

ReplyDeleteYou have done well, Dean. I gave that buffalo one look and decided: PASS! It is not an animal we are familiar with, I thought that you only saw them on rock paintings in Europe! Will have to Google and find out more!
