I see so much amazing art on the net that every once in a while I give myself the challenge to try something in their style. This is the case for this painting. I'm sure many of you are familiar with the fantastic artist, Robert Genn. I tried to emulate his way of interpreting a landscape and insert decorative color.
The red highlights on the scene reminded me of Christmas lights.

ReplyDeleteI checked back through the blog as I've been out of town. All the work is just wonderful. Love your people. And the chicken was a perfect Thanksgiving gift to all of us.
I am curious how you decide when to paint with oil and when to choose acrylics. I am just starting to do some work with acrylics and I'm not sure how they fit in with my watercolors.
Very nice Dean, I like the colors you used in here.
