This is in a very similar vein as the one I posted on Aug. 2nd. The first had a terrific response on eBay. One of the bidders asked me to do another raven which would be similar to the first. Let me tell you, it is difficult to emulate your own work! At least it was for me...how funny is that??!
Technically, Saundra's photo was of a crow, but since my first painting was a raven, I made this one a bit more raven-y by broadening the beak, etc.

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the big ebay sale! I saw it there yesterday and wow, you had a lot of bids! This one is just as well done and I love it. I once had a request of an ebayer who "missed" a painting and repainted one for them. I also found it difficult. I pretty much copied the first and missed the "inspiration" effect. I think my brushwork was tighter as well. You were right to produce a slightly different painting to keep lit fresh. Looks great!
