Oil on 5x7 gessoed hardboard.
After fighting with computers...telemarketing calls...woes and tribulations of the day, remember, it's all a part of the bigger plan. It's always nice to have a quiet spot to go...even if it's only in your mind. Hope this will help you a little today. Kick back on the beach...sip a cool drink...close your eyes, relax, and dream.... :)

Psalms 102:19 For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary ; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;

Beautiful painting.
ReplyDeleteAhh, the beach is always so relaxing Dean.
ReplyDeleteNice textures in this one. They are very calming even with all that action in the paint.
Wonderful peaceful present for us Dean! I love the softness, and the texture as well!! Where was this? I'm looking at pics my son sent me from his trip to Hawaii...you've inspired me to try one!
ReplyDeleteColors here are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteVery relaxing ready to go there.
And what a beautiful sanctuary it is!
ReplyDeleteThis is a haven, a little piece of heaven on a canvas
ReplyDeleteVery, very nice, Dean. This is almost exactly what you would see at the tip of Bastimentos island looking down the Caribbean shoreline...Bocas Del Toro, Panama. So much so, it kinda surprised me when I saw it.
ReplyDeleteI agree ...that your scene is a lovely place to "get away from it all"...beautifully executed-- a really nice balmy breezy feeling.
ReplyDeleteI would love to spend some time on a beach! And, now I can, through you! Great texture.
ReplyDeleteBravo, Dean. Love the impasto and the overall scene. Would be lovely to be there right now. :)

ReplyDeleteHi, Saundra...This is from La Jolla Cove in San Diego. But I changed it considerably by eliminating some large boulders and adding palms. I think it resembles Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful, Dean - I want to be there!
ReplyDeleteThanks Irit, Deb, and Karie...Very much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteThanks, James...Happy it struck a chord with you!

ReplyDeleteHello Dean
ReplyDeleteI like the palette in this painting. They are my favourites. This is very atmospheric. I can feel the salt air wind and the spray from the crashing waves. Has always the brush strokes are your hallmark signature.
Best Regards
Hi Trevor...Thanks for stopping by and sharing a comment. I am glad that you like the palette and the brushwork, my friend.
ReplyDeleteComing in late here Dean. Love this scene - the colours are simply glowing - beautiful. And the horse in your previous post is fantastic. Great stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat's the kind of thing you want to come home to after a stressful day. It's like an instant vacation. Gorgeous color!
