This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. Mary was the hostess who graciously supplied the great reference photos!

I imagined this proud guy to be a gander so the title will make sense.

Some palette knife...some brush.
I tried to go by that saying, " a stroke laid is a stroke stayed." Which means after you lay a stroke down, don't spread it or fuss with it...period. Go ahead and make another stroke. I wasn't entirely successful at it but I tried.

Like many other artists I know, I seem to be on an unending quest to learn how to paint loosely. To suggest the subject and eliminate all but the most essential details. Unfortunately knowing what you want to do and doing it can be two very different things. Anywho, here's my attempt.
