It's a beauty, Dean. I looked back at August to compare. I really like how you have cropped the image to re-do it with a different focus.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kathryn!
DeleteMany times I have liked a cropped close up of my work much more than the original composition.
I may do more of this in the future...turn the close up into a painting.
Your knife paintings are always awesome, this one has beautiful perfect application of paint, the result marvelous!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Padmaja!
DeleteI loved the magical colors in your Tuscany painting!
Well of course you know I am going to really like this one. YOu are really really good with how you use white.
ReplyDeleteThat's high praise, Julia...Thanks!!
DeleteI like painting "whites". There's so much room for play and interpretation.
Hope you solve your puter problems soon.
I am amazed, you have used knife to paint such delicate flowers and yet managed to come out with flying colors! Love this.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Arti! I'm beginning to think I really prefer the knife to the brush when it comes to florals. It helps me to not get tied up in details.
DeleteI really like your water lilies on your blog today!! Super!
Well, Dean, I do think it is delightful. In fact, I'd say you are truly perfecting your use of the palette knife.
ReplyDeleteHi, Sherry...Thanks!
DeleteI hope that's true. I really like what the painting knife can do. I still have a load to learn.
What a delicious looking waterlily Dean. You have done it again, you really are becoming fluent with you palette knife.
ReplyDeleteHi, Steinuinn! Thanks for those encouraging words!
ReplyDeleteI really admire the watercolors you're currently working on.
I like the bits of color throughout- complex, but it still comes together beautifully!
