Health Food-Still Life

Close ups

Oil on 6x6 canvas panel.

This is my contribution to The Paint it Before You Eat it Challenge at DPW posted by Carol Marine. Carol challenged us to paint colorful Valentine treats.

Yeah...yeah...I know my title for this piece is "Health Food"...which normally means something like celery or an apple. But this is mental health food! Happy, happy...yum, yums!

I painted this over a coat of black gesso! One of my favorite tactics...A fun way to paint!

  3. What is not healthy Dean? I see fruit. I see dairy. I see grains...
And it comes together into a delicious tart that I think would go awesome with this coffee I am drinking! Beautifully done!
