Please take some time today to quietly thank God for the multitude of servicemen and women who gave their all for this nation we are so blessed to be living in.

  2. Every year you place such a lovely and thought-provoking painting to commemorate the heroes, Dean! If you love challenges, place this on RedBubble where there is a "shoes without people challenge on.

  8. I agree with you about saying thanks to servicemen and women. Once I was at a coffee shop and my h struck up a conversation with a guy next to us. We learned he was a Viet Nam Vet. When we left I spontaneously stuck my hand out and said "thank you for serving our country". I could tell he was very surprised and he immediately got misty, but he had a smile too. So many (especially the ones from Viet Nam) are never thanked. It's a wonderful idea to do so!

I LOVE this painting...it is beautiful.

  12. Love these combat boots. I had my Dad's WWII boot out to paint for Memorial Day (my sister has the other one) and every time I touched it, it crumbled. I gave up after two tries - they just looked drab - then saw your great boots on your post today. These are wonderful and I love all the color you found in them.
