Leopard Frog
Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel.
I really like how this little guy came out! That combo of lavender and green was inspiring for me.
The reference photo for this painting was generously supplied by Li for this week's

This is one of your best I think. The frog is perfect and the colors make it.
ReplyDeleteThank you,Barb. I'm glad you like it. Here it is, the day after, and I still like it. Hope I'm on the track of something good. In all truth, though, I've been here before...thought I had found a new and better direction and then couldn't repeat what I felt was a success. Gone like a puff of smoke. Hope that doesn't happen here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by , Barb.
I know exactly what you mean Dean. There are times I'm feeling pretty confident and then it turns back into a struggle. Maybe that's how it will always be. Why is it we do this, lol???
ReplyDeleteWow--this one blows me away. Fascinating palette choices. Your work on animals is fabulous, Dean. Look forward to even more.
