Wolf Portrait


Oil on 7x5 archival canvas panel.
It's been a looong time since I've painted a wolf. I followed the same procedure as with the May 21st post of the cow (below). The paint is good and thick where it is intended to simulate the fur texture. I'm happy with the outcome...hope you are too.

  2. Thanks, Barb. Glad you mentioned the blue,because I liked it also when I saw it. It's one of those unintended pluses in a painting.

  3. I like the brushwork in the bottom portion of the painting. Kept it loose and integrated with the background.

  4. Hi, Ed... I agree about the bottom part. I feel that I tightened up on the detail in the top...much more than was needed.
