Elvis Sighting

Graphite (hb, 3b, and 5b) on 14"x11" 100 lb. Canson Bristol Vellum, medium tooth.

The detail shot is a truer representation of the paper color. Somehow the full shot took on that warm cast.

A dear friend in Tennessee asked me to do an Elvis drawing for her. I used to do a lot of celebrities in the 80's & 90's. So I went upstairs to check out my collection of Elvis photos and found a drawing I had started 8 or 9 years ago!! Needless to say, I jumped on that like a 'duck on a June bug'! Here he is all finished and just awaiting my friend's approval. We'll see if he has a new home after all this time. She might like it or she might not...she can do whatever she wants to do, as long as she don't step on my blue suede shoes. ;)
ps...She didn't like it. She said she Lovvvveesss it...( I think I spelled it close to the way she did.) Anyhow, Elvis will be heading to Tennessee.

Email me to inquire about commissioning some graphite art.

  5. Hi, Barb...you said,"He was a handsome dude, wasn't he? Elvis I mean..., I'm sure you are too though".

Thanks for clarifying that...Lol. In fact I do bare a striking resemblance to Elvis... Every time I tell someone how much I look like Elvis, they strike me!
