Malamute-Animal Art
Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel. I enjoyed doing this one today. The image was supplied by Joel for the Weekend Drawing Event at Wet Canvas. I used the painting knife in a few spots just to add variety and surface interest.

This is the perfect subject for you to paint, I bet you were pleased with his choice. I see your red toned canvas peeking through, I like it. Nice painting as always Dean. Barb

Yes, Barb, I was pleased with this subject :). Glad you like the reds peeking in here and there...I enjoy that effect.
ReplyDeleteFrank....I really have fun painting on top of a red toned canvas. Wish I could lay down the brush strokes on top as freely as you appear to.

Sandy, thank you...It IS cold looking isn't it?? I'm so glad the dog is a malamute instead of a Chihuahua!!!!
