Matterhorn Mountain

Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel. So many have attempted the Matterhorn (climbing) and failed...I thought, " What the hey....I can attempt it...if I fail it's just a messed up canvas...not a 4,000ft. drop!" Hope ya like it.
Just as a side note: it sure is winter in Ohio. We had sub zero wind chills yesterday. Today it's snow and ice coming down. I realize there are plenty of you out in cyber-land who have it much worse. Ah...but the swallows are leaving Capistrano to return. And the weather man said spring is now advancing from Florida toward the north at the rate of 15 miles per day.

I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "Move from here to there" and it will move.

  2. Hi Dean, This really has a nice feel. I immediately knew this was yours when I saw it on Daily Painters Marketplace, it's that red background showing through, your trademark. This is Barbie Bud, I'm using my real name now, seems a bit more professional. Barb

  3. Hi...'Barbie Bud' has a nice sound! Thanks for stopping by the Den and chatting. Yep, the red undercoating seems to be my trademark...it's such a pleasure to paint over.

  4. Beautiful painting. If you need inspiration, take a look at www.coronn.com. The mountain Monte Viso is also a very beautiful mountain, for many years people believed that it was the highest mountain in Europe.
