The Good Life-Hawaii Landscape

 Close ups

Oil on 5x7 gessoed canvas panel.

This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. Maureen was the gracious hostess who supplied all the great reference photos. Thanks, Maureen !

Thought I'm throw in a rare (for me) landscape. I wouldn't mind hanging out here! It would be great to wake up here each morning!

This is oil on a 5x7 canvas panel. It's about 95% painting knife....That helped my speed somewhat.

C&C welcome. Thanks for having a look and commenting!!

Hawaii

Close ups

Oil on 5x7 hardboard.
Ahhh...Hawaii. Kick back, relax, and dream.
It seems that every landscape is a chance to explore and try different "what ifs".
I had fun with this one...abundant paint, not getting bogged down in details, and checking out "what ifs".

Beach With Palms

Oil on 7x5 archival canvas panel. Ah...the sea breeze...palms rustling in the air. Winter isn't far off...have to get ready in my mind 'cause I sure can't afford to travel for real whenever I get the mood to boogie.
