Oil on 5x7 canvas panel.
This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. EP did the job of hosting this week and provided a bunch of great photos!
These two labs are having such a wonderful time...the ingredients for their game are water and a stick.
C&C welcome. Thanks for taking a peek and commenting.
Psalm 33:22 " May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you."
These labs are so realistic, Dean. A wonderful portrait. I love how the eyes are closed on the yellow lab avoiding the water going into his eyes! VERY nice work!!!
ReplyDeleteoh I just love these frolicking dogs! they are having a wonderful time....beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteThis had to be a stellar day for these two buddies. It looks like lots of fun to me too. Wonderful painting, Dean.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Dean!... This tight little gem captures the playful bliss and good natured character of these two breeds! Your skillful cropping and creation of diagonal movement gives one a first person feeling of presence - one more 'ol dog to join in on the water play! HA HA!!
ReplyDeleteA "doggone" great painting!
Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
Oh so great! The action and their 'full of life' expressions here can't be beat! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteYou have captured the dogs' exuberance perfectly, Dean!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dean, for your comment on the koi. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat an energetic painting. I love the energy you captured.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your really special comment. I appreciate YOU!
Great painting Dean. I love the energy in this, the diagonal composition and the punch of red in the lower left corner. The expression on your dog's face has him feeling like the winner! Just look at him smile with that big stick in his mouth! Do you think you'll redo this one bigger? It would be great as a large painting.
