Patient Fisherman-Egret

 Close ups

Acrylic on 7x5 canvas panel.

This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. Donna did the the honors of hosting this week and provided a bunch of super photos!

I had to try this egret. They are such patient fishermen (as noted in the title).

This is acrylic on a 7x5 Gesso Art Board. It has a very slick non absorbent surface. I wanted to use some wet and wild techniques I had been mulling over. But much of my plans fell through. I like a few parts, though. All part of the learning process.

C&C welcome. Thank you for commenting!

Isaiah 40:3       But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

  1. I am really intrigued by the semi-abstract feel of this egret and the fish painting. It works for me - big time!

  3. A slightly different style than I am used to seeing from you, Dean. Nevertheless, it is charming and I especially love the palette and foreground grasses!
