Warm Summer Thoughts-Cow

 Close ups

Oil on 7x5 canvas panel.

Ah...This one is painted just because I felt like painting it....not in answer to a challenge or a group event. Feels good to do that once in awhile.
I have been asked to paint another cow from some time back. So here it is. There's something about a cow's face that seems so inquisitive and innocent.
I had fun pushing the colors and strength of light source for this one.
Hope ya like it!:)
C&C welcome...Thanks for looking.

    1. Hi Hilda! Thanks...I always love the challenge of pushing light and color...To create a "painting" from a "photograph".

  4. Oh he is beautiful, Dean! I love the light going through the tips of his ears too. And I find myself wanting to pet his beautiful face; you've managed a gorgeous texture in his fur.

  6. Good evening Dean!... That big abstract "T" symbol... planted front and centre giving us those gorgeous "cow eyes" rivets one's eye and demands that we pay attention.

A wonderful composition Dean... and the warmth and wonderfully loose brushwork support that alluring abstraction you have used so effectively to snare and capture our attention! Bravo!

    Good Painting!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce

  7. I agree with all the comments but my fav part is the great design you came up with. The way you cropped and angled the horns makes this cow extra special
