Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
On this venture of mine I plan to do a number of things. To post paintings which are for sale...to post a daily painting...and show some works in progress( demos). The art will be in Oils with an Acrylic sneaking in now and then.
Wonderful portrait, Dean. You really captured his kind spirit.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work, Dean.
ReplyDeleteDean, I found you through Sheila's blog -- very handsome. A real tribute -- you captured Patrick's spirit.
ReplyDeleteYes, he did. What a thoughtful tribute.
ReplyDeleteI so respected this man (and wrote a blog piece myself when he passed away). I love that you immortalized him as you have. Wish you could send this to his wife; I know she'd cherish it forever, Dean.
ReplyDeleteYou nailed his look Dean. Nice tribute. It took courage to go thru what he did.
ReplyDeleteI loved "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost" movies.
Yes, he did remain a good man, and it's sad to lose him to this world. But I like to think he's doing much greater works now.
ReplyDeleteWonderful illustration!
Dean, I passed an award on to you. It's in the sidebar of my blog when you get a chance to come pick it up!

ReplyDeleteWonderful tribute, Dean. I've always loved this pose of him. What a great talent he was.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen too much graphite work from you. This is really terrific and wonderfully loose.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
A stunning portrait of a wonderful actor. And a beautiful tribute to him Dean.
ReplyDeleteWow, Dean, there are very few artists who are equally adept at painting as many subjects as you are. One minute I think I adore your animal paintings most, but then you come up with the graphite sketches like this (and Walter Cronkite--WOW), and I am just stunned at your incredible drawing ability. Then there are the seascapes that make me want to book a flight to Hawaii NOW...just don't make me choose a favorite subject. It can't be done! thanks for sharing your lovely work,
ReplyDeleteFaye
