Graphite on paper...approx 6 1/5x5
This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. Lin was the gracious host this week who provided a bunch of great photos.
I went with a couple on the beach. Intriguing to me thinking of all they've been through together.
I did another graphite mainly because of time constraints. This is approx. 6.5x5.5. I used colored pencil on the cups for surprise/shock value. Creates interest.
C&C welcome. Thanks for looking and commenting!
Psalm 100:5, "For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations."
You drawing skills are top notch, Dean. This one is also another outstanding piece. Love the red cups just like you thought I/we would!
ReplyDeleteGood Sunday morning to you Dean!... Your capacity and skill in rendering as a draughtsman is never more evident and beautiful... than when your rich colour "plays second fiddle" in your posts!
ReplyDeleteAnother "look"... another reason to admire! Bravo!
Happy Fall... Good Painting and Sketching!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
PS Wonderful.... how you irresistably "snuck in" those red eye grabbers!.. You devil !
Fabulous drawing/sketch, Dean. I love the red cups too!
ReplyDeleteExcellent graphite painting, Dean! Wonderful shadows and love that touch of color!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great drawing! I like the frame lines in the back of the figures. I think it makes them pop out more. The red cups were definitely a nice touch!
