Oil on 7x5 canvas panel.
This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. Valri was the gracious host this week who provided a bunch of great photos.
I may be starting a trend for myself. This is my second pig in two weeks. They may be waiting for their buddy so they can go to market.
Painting the color "white" is always fun.

Psalm 118: 6 The Lord is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
Great series, Dean...love the flower in his mouth!!
ReplyDeleteHi Dean. I was just reading Katherine Dunn's blog "Apifera Farm" and looking at all the fantastic photos of the pigs she has there. They are funny animals, but so likable! I love your pig painting and all the character you captured here. The flowers in its mouth is perfect! Made me smile. :) <--------see?
ReplyDeleteBoth paintings of pigs are wonderful, love your style and colours you have chosen.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely whimsical touch with the daisy in this pig's mouth. A great work again, Dean!
ReplyDeleteLove all the golden reflections and marvelous touch of the pure white daisy! Fresh and lively!
ReplyDeleteDaisy...how perfect a name for such a cute pig, too.
ReplyDeleteI like the color changes in the ear and on the white area also.
Good morning Dean!... Quite a "pig tale" (along with the posey) that Flora presents to the viewer in this wee playful piece of colour and whimsy!
ReplyDeleteBrings to mind Charlotte's Web readind memories shared with Allison and Andrew when they were mere playful piglets!
Great piece Dean!
Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
