How Now-Brown Cow

 Close Ups

 Oil on 5x7 canvas panel.

This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. Scatty was the gracious host this week and provided a bunch of great photos! Thank you, Scatty!

 How now brown cow? I didn't know exactly how I wanted to paint this beautiful bovine. So I tried to make the lighting more interesting. It's always a challenge for me whenever I try to change the lighting in a photo. I think the mouth was open as it chewed the hay ( couldn't exactly tell from the photo). So for simplicity, I gave it some manners and closed the mouth. :lol:

C&C welcome. Thanks for looking and commenting!

John 8: 31        Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

  6. Hi there Dean!... "Mannerly" and inquisitive she might appear. "Mannered"... she is not. Your deft handling of colour and the glow of your backlighting adds to the naturalness of the subject. Right on the $$$ ... as usual!

    Good Painting!
    Warmest regards,
    Bruce
