Oil on 7x5 canvas panel.
This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. Kay was the hostess who provided a bunch of great photos! This is her cat, Midge. I got a kick out of Midge keeping a cautious eye open between snores. Kay challenged us to work in some black and orange within our paintings in honor of Halloween.
C&C welcome. Thanks for looking and commenting.

1 Peter 1:24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.
you really captured this mischief-making cat...beautifully done!
ReplyDeleteMidge is adorable and I love that fiery background, Dean!
ReplyDeleteYour portrait of Midge is fantastic, Dean. You have captured such an intriguing expression in her eye. I love the colors, and how you incorporated your brush-strokes into her fur.
