Oil on 5x7 canvas panel.
This is my contribution to this week's WDE at Wet Canvas. Li was the hostess and provided a bunch of great photos!
Li wrote: "My husband worked with our dear friend Lloyd for 7 years. He was a brother, a trusted friend and a loyal worker. When we moved to the Bahamas, he took us into his heart as family. He passed away suddenly in Aug. at the age of 53. I so wish I had taken more photos of him and Dave together but he was so humble and so very camera shy. We miss him every day.
Her description and photo of their friend, Lloyd, touched my heart. His expression fit so perfectly.
C&C welcome. Thanks for looking and commenting.

2 Corinthians 4:18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
expressive and beautifully painted. The warmth in the color makes it a a perfect match for the mood too.

ReplyDeleteIt is fascinating how you can do back to back portraits so differently, and yet both so full of the personality of the sitter. You are an inspiration, dear Dean.
