Oil on 5x7 archival canvas panel.This was painted from a from a jpg image on the monitor screen. I used a plein air approach throughout. Paint fast as though the light were going to change...get the darks in first in order to establish the shadow pattern...get the general colors in as accurately as possible the first time....keep it simple, don't get caught up in detail...lastly, add the most detail and chroma around the center of interest.
