Acrylic on 5x7 archival canvas panel.Still searching the different avenues of expressing an image in paint. This is my attempt at impact. It's a rose from my backyard. The surrounding dark makes the flower leap out and causes the background to dissolve into leaf like shapes. This invites the viewer to hang around for closer inspection....hopefully.

It's a nice, lively, inviting wake-up song in my day. Yum! P.S. I have painted a rose or two over the years; find them difficult, and completely admire and love yours.
